The SGCC Swim Team is 9 weeks of excitement, fun and friendships at SGCC!

We believe that summer swim should be inclusive and fun, and that both teamwork and swimming are life skills that should be taught early. We believe that athletes should work hard and try their best, and that good sportsmanship is more important than winning.

We seek to provide an environment in which all eligible swimmers can learn and improve their swimming skills, become the best swimmers they can, and be recognized for their accomplishments.

Our swim program is approximately 100 kids strong, lead by a patchwork of professional coaches and big-hearted members (adults and kids alike). Many start young and are still involved 10 years later.  

The SGCC swim team is home to league record holders, new swimmers and everyone in-between.  The team is open to all SGCC member dependents who are able to swim the length of the pool independently, safely and consistently. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive program and we welcome beginners, but for the safety of all involved, swimmers need to arrive water-safe and able to participate in a group setting without constant hands-on assistance in the water.

While there is no minimum age or stroke abiilty required to join the team, swimmers must be independent in the water and able to make the length.  Coaches will provide instruction and work with swimmers to learn and perfect the 4 competitive strokes, starts and turns

Swimmer safety is our number one priority. Any swimmer unable to safely participate in practice will be asked to participate in swim lessons until they are stronger in the water.  They are welcome to join the team at any point throughout the season, as their strength and skills develop.

Due to league rules, grandchildren and other non members are not eligible.

The league has moved to an on-line platform that integrates with the software used to run our meets.

All swimmers must register with our team via the online system to participate on swim team.

The total cost of the program will be displayed, but payment will not be collected. 
Swim Team charges will be billed to your SGCC member account.
